Dragonova Publishing is dedicated to fostering exchanges between Chinese and Australian speculative fiction communities. We aim to build a bridge between imaginations across cultures.
Founding the first Sino–Australian speculative fiction exchange magazine Cruxdragon, and are actively supporting the establishment of the international botanical journal The Mengtze Botanizer.
We welcome all forms of science, wonder, and imaginative exploration.

Your submission must include:
• A 100-word author bio
• A 100-word story synopsis
Due to the complexity of bilingual editing and translation, we currently accept only:
• Works under 5,000 English words, or
• Works under 10,000 Chinese characters
Thank you for your understanding. We also accept non-fiction or academic articles within 5,000 characters on speculative literature. The submission requirements are the same as above.
All submissions retain full copyright. We acquire publication rights only and do not claim any additional rights.
Accepted Chinese-language works are paid starting from RMB 50 per 1,000 characters.
Accepted English-language works are paid AUD 20 per 1,000 words.
Note: This rate difference reflects differences in language length and editorial workload. It does not represent unequal treatment of authors.
We will respond to all submissions within two months.
If your work is accepted, a formal contract will be sent to you via email.
We prioritize original and unpublished works.
If your work has been published elsewhere, please clearly state the publication history in your submission email.
Once a work is accepted, we will provide free translation services, either from Chinese to English or from English to Chinese.
Accepted works will be formally published in physical print in Australia, with copies distributed to bookstores or libraries.
They will also be released simultaneously on this official website and on Amazon.
At the same time, we will also recommend your work to science fiction magazines or institutions in both China and Australia.
